Position Summary:
The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for processing all incoming shipments to ensure the Phenix receives the necessary products and components in the committed time frame, communicating with the appropriate personnel when issues or delays are encountered. They will adhere to company standards for quality while maintaining a professional and team oriented behavior and attitude.
Essential Functions:
- Receive all incoming shipments.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, packing lists, orders, or other records.
- Uses company print management system to accurately receive materials into product inventory according to documented procedures.
- Routes received products and production supplies to the proper storage locations.
- Notifies appropriate personnel when products / shipments are received.
- Organization of the warehouse.
- Insures that all incoming material is appropriately marked and located.
- Keeps isles and floors clean and clear to maintain safety standards of company.
- Restocks unused raw materials returned from press.
- Takes precautions to protect equipment, property and product against loss.
- Operates forklift to move shipments from incoming trucks to shipping-and-receiving platform, storage or work area.
- Suggests improvements to receiving procedures, and acts to improve quality, timeliness or reduce costs.
- Adheres to all quality control processes and procedures and actively supports the company’s internal audit program.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Individual must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required. This implies good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills.
- Individual must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people in a wide variety of settings, possessing strong communication skills, maintaining flexibility, objectivity and a capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Participation and support of 5S initiatives and activities.
- Pre-stages stocks for scheduled production jobs.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- High school diploma / GED / or equivalent.
- Individual should possess basic math and computer skills.
- English language required.
Physical and Other Requirements:
This job is performed indoors in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. Job tasks are performed in close proximity to other people and include exposure to strobe lights, sounds and noise levels that could be distracting. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend or crouch. The employee must frequently stand, walk, talk, and occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include ability to hear alarms and other sensors in a factory environment. Requires use of hands to handle, control or feel objects and operate tools and controls.
