    Byron Public School seeks school bus route driver to start August 1, 2025. Current School Bus Endorsement preferred or we will pay $17.15 per hour for training.  Sign on bonus available of $1,075.  Student contact days only.     Full Route Drivers AM/PM (up to 4hrs/day)
    Morning and Afternoon   $111.50 per day

    Half Route Driver AM or PM (up to 2hrs/day)
    $55.75 per day

    Sport Trips  or Any Additional District Trips    Weekday  Rate   $19.29 per hour
                                                                            Weekend Rate   $22.70 per hour
    These rates apply to all  Sub and  Full/Half Route Drivers

    TITLE:                        Bus Driver

    QUALIFICATIONS:    1.    High School diploma or equivalent
                                        2.    Current CDL with school bus endorsement (or we will train)
                                        3.    Documented safe driving record

    REPORTS TO:           Transportation Director  

    JOB GOAL:                 To provide safe transportation of district students, to and from
                                         school, and activities. Driver is responsible for general care and daily inspection of bus assigned to them and shall follow the daily bus inspection form as posted.
                                         Driver shall be knowledgeable of all laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the safe transportation of students and of all district policy.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1.    Transport district students in a safe manner.
    2.    Perform daily pre-trip inspections on the bus.
    3.    Complete daily mileage log for the bus.
    4.    Keep the bus clean, inside and out.
    5.    Complies with all traffic ordinances.
    6.    Report accidents and bus violations to Transportation Director.
    7.    Subject to random drug and alcohol testing as required by School District #531.
    8.    Employee is responsible to be knowledgeable about all district policy.
    9.    Have a positive attitude and be a team player
