    Position Overview:
    Key Largo School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Football Coach to lead and develop our student-athletes. The ideal candidate will foster skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive athletic experience for students in grades [6�8].

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and conduct age-appropriate practices focused on skill development, fundamentals, and teamwork
    • Coach and supervise players during games and competitions
    • Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among student-athletes
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and games
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, athletic directors, and school staff
    • Maintain equipment and facilities in good condition
    • Follow school, district, and league policies and procedures

    Qualifications:

    • Individuals who do not hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate must obtain an Athletic Coaching K�12 Certification from the Florida Department of Education to be eligible for paid coaching positions in Florida public schools.
    • All coaches are also required to maintain current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification through the American Heart Association.
    • Experience playing and/or coaching football (youth or middle school level preferred)
    • Ability to work positively with middle school�aged students
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
    • Knowledge of football fundamentals, rules, and safety practices
    • Completion of required background checks and district clearances

    Compensation:

    • Stipend paid at end of season $1627.50
