What you bring to the table

Beck is looking for a qualified Senior Interior Designer to join our Dallas office with a strong background in hospitality design. The candidate will be embedded within a project team performing interior design tasks with moderate supervision on hospitality-focused projects including hotels, resorts, branded guest experiences, mixed-use hospitality environments, restaurants, and amenity-driven spaces.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of hospitality design principles, guest experience, space planning, material selection, and storytelling through interiors. Beck is one of the most advanced users of 3D modeling tools in the design process, so the candidate should be comfortable using SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, InDesign, and other visualization tools.

The job involves the following responsibilities:

• Present hospitality-focused design concepts and guest experience ideas to owners and project teams in a three-dimensional format
• Develop interior design deliverables through all phases of hospitality projects, including concept design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation
• Create interior environments that align with brand standards, operational goals, and elevated guest experiences
• Select finishes, furniture, lighting, artwork, and materials appropriate for hospitality environments
• Communicate design intent clearly to project teams, consultants, and clients
• Participate in design charrettes, brainstorming sessions, and internal design competitions
• Build strong relationships with clients and guide them through complex design decisions
• Effectively mentor and support less experienced design staff
• Collaborate closely with Beck’s architecture, preconstruction, and construction teams in an integrated project delivery environment
• Enjoy working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced team environment
• Represent Beck within the hospitality and interior design community

A reliable and creative Interior Designer with the ability to develop thoughtful hospitality design concepts while participating on a team through all aspects of project delivery. An individual that exhibits passion to get things done and possesses uncompromising authenticity and integrity. An individual with an interest in integrated project delivery, innovation, process improvement, and technology will thrive in this role.

The ideal candidate will possess strong conceptual design abilities and be able to communicate ideas effectively through sketches, renderings, mood boards, and three-dimensional visualization tools.

You also meet the following requirements:

• 5–10 years of relevant interior design experience, preferably focused on hospitality projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
• Professional registration or pursuit of registration preferred
• Strong understanding of hospitality programming, guest experience, and brand-driven environments
• Experience coordinating with consultants, vendors, and ownership groups
• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software preferred

Physical Demands:

Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, ability to coordinate and participate in client meetings, constantly communicates with project teams and related parties, ability to maintain best practices related to interior design and production, and ability to adhere to consistent attendance.
