Fluency in American Sign Language is Preferred; but not a requirement to be considered the for the Residential Advisor Position.

Job Duties:
Provides guidance, direction, and support to promote students’ personal growth, independence, and social skills.
Assists students with daily living activities, homework, and the development of life skills.
Maintains a positive and respectful living environment that encourages cooperation and good citizenship.
Plans, organizes, and participates in recreational, social, and educational activities.
Monitors student behavior and addresses issues in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Communicates with staff, parents, and administration regarding student needs, concerns, and progress.
Maintains required logs, reports, and documentation related to student activities and care.
Responds to emergencies and follows established safety and security protocols.

Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional. If chosen required to take a probationary appointment.Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Residential Advisor 1, 2, or 3.
