Your function:
As an Account Manager within the Commercial Finance sales team you will be responsible for driving incremental new business to DLL by both Relationship Management and Business Development activity, across a mix of DLL’s global and local partnerships. You will be required to work closely with representatives of existing and prospective partners across Australia, and their end-user customers as applicable. The role will also be a key liaison on designated accounts with internal departments of DLL including Business Support, Credit, Settlements, Customer Service, Collections, Finance and Asset Management – particularly around managing deal flow, to ensure an excellent customer experience.
The role will be directly responsible for key designated accounts, with an individual sales target. Typical KPIs will include new business volume (existing customers & new business growth), margin and other income, partner satisfaction, call activity, and compliance.

We support our partners throughout the entire sales cycle, from receipt of purchase order to delivery of goods and services across all our industry global business units and our continued growth into new asset classes and markets including but not limited to caravans/motorhomes, marine, motorcycles and various industry commodities.
Day to day:
Expand and maintain existing partnerships through proactive relationship management.
Conduct regular customer visits
Increase new business volume and DLL share of partner business, through regular call cycles, problem solving, and process improvements.
Develop and execute program management strategies to achieve/exceed sales budgets in place for existing partners including new business volume, margin and fee income with forecasting and pipeline management.
Training and development of partner sales teams to ensure high levels of finance penetration and attraction of a high-quality customer base.
Continuously monitor and follow-up on leads in the pipeline with existing partners (and prospects).
Handle first-line escalation for non-standard enquiries, including pricing, changes in Terms & Conditions, priority deal management and settlement exceptions. Also act as first-line support for partner queries on deal status for designated accounts and other matters.
Work with partners to drive efficiencies and process improvement, in particular to streamline the handling of incoming applications, approvals and settlements as required.
Identify and resolve problems before they impact on the vendor and/or their customers.
Your profile:
- Deadline driven, and with excellent time management skills.
- Self-starter, able to self-motivate and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with an adaptive approach.
- Positive, can-do attitude is essential with a high attention to detail and a strong compliance focus
- Excellent communication skills – verbal & written.
- Strong financial acumen and deal structuring experience.
- A growth mindset, with proven ability to constantly improve oneself.
- High level of interpersonal skills, including an ability to develop close relationships at all levels, and across new referral partners, existing partner contacts, and DLL internal (local and global) stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, equipment finance documentation and credit / risk management in the equipment finance market.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying customer needs and going above expectations in delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
Experience from the Commercial Finance / Inventory Finance industry is a plus.
