The City of Paragould is currently accepting applications for Admissions / Gate Attendant. This is a non-exempt seasonal position. The season runs from mid May to mid August.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Collects fees from citizens for entry into the aquatics programs and collects money in the concession area. Provides information to citizens as requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collects fees for admission to aquatic center and in the aquatics concession area. Responsible for all monies collected.
- Take customer orders and assemble the order correctly.
- Check food items and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Responds to public inquiries about aquatics programs made by telephone or in person and refers when needed to appropriate personnel.
- Plans, organizes and orders inventory as needed for concession area.
- Maintains related records and statistics for various aquatics programs.
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties such as answering telephone, running errands, making copies, etc.
- Performs a variety of custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, trash removal, etc.
- Patrols the entry area and concession area and enforces safety rules.
- May assist in preparing pool for opening which includes: cleaning and painting pool, bath house, concession area, restrooms, and etc.
- Notifies supervisor of problems requiring repairs or maintenance.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
