Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our Brea, CA team! We’re a fast‑growing PCBA contract manufacturer supporting aerospace, defense, medical, industrial, and commercial markets. Responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Lead manufacturing readiness reviews and communicate build strategies to cross‑functional teams.
  • Review customer drawings and documentation for manufacturability and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, work instructions, tooling requirements, and process documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Analyze quality issues, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Specify, evaluate, and justify equipment, fixtures, and special processes for production.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, test engineering, and production teams.

Qualifications of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
  • 7–10 years of experience in PCBA, cable assembly, or electromechanical manufacturing.
  • Experience in contract manufacturing, preferably supporting military/aerospace customers.
  • Strong knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 standards.
  • Hands‑on experience with Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and MES systems (Aegis preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and lead cross‑functional technical initiatives.

Work Schedule:
This position follows a standard Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Engineering schedules may vary based on business needs and operational support requirements. Flexibility is expected to ensure adequate coverage, and while typical hours are Monday through Friday, occasional adjustments may be necessary.
Work Hours:
Full‑time, approximately 40 hours per week. This is a salaried position, and occasional additional hours may be required based on business needs.
