Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is to ensure all members and guests feel welcome with excellent service and hospitality, by providing all the information needed to exceed their expectations. Interacts with golfers in a friendly and helpful manner. Responsible for informing players of course conditions and local rules. Keep tee times moving on time and in an orderly manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Interacts and greets golfers in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner. Explain any/all rules and conditions of play during guest introduction to the course. (i.e. hole 5 is cart path only)

· Maintain control over the golfers while on the course for the benefit of all who play.

· Ability to track groups throughout a round of golf and stop groups from sneaking onto the property.

· Adhere to the rules and regulations that are set for our guests.

· Cater to our member's/guest's needs, and keep the golf shop informed of the pace of play on shotguns and split tee play.

· Be an ambassador of goodwill for the facility and the game of golf.

· Ensure groups flow to the proper order of their tee times.

· Confirm with the pro shop that all members/guests have paid and checked in.

· Travel the golf course in a counterclockwise manner to locate gaps quickly and solve potentially large gaps before they occur.

· Diplomatically solve guests’ problems and issues, calling the golf shop for assistance when necessary.

· Remind players to use sand & seed and to repair their ball marks.

· Remind players to play ready golf, something now encouraged by the rules of golf.

· Repair golf marks and pick up trash on the course.

· Be observant, report anything unusual to the golf shop including players possibly damaging the course or carts.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

· Frequent bending, turning, kneeling, and stooping.

· Must be able to stand for extended periods.

· Must be able to operate a golf cart and other equipment safely.

· Normal vision and hearing ranges required.

· Able to work outdoors in cold or hot weather.

· Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
