    SUMMARY: The ideal candidate will develop and deliver an engaging curriculum aligned with Colorado CTE standards, blending academic knowledge and hands-on clinical skills to prepare students for entry-level medical assistant roles and/or post-secondary education.
     
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    *Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Colorado teaching license with a Career and Technical
    Education endorsement in Secondary CTE Health Science: https://www.cde.state.co.us/cdeprof/cteworksheets/healthscience
    *Must be qualified to teach concurrent enrollment.
    *Minimum of three years of professional experience as a medical assistant or related healthcare role.
    *Holds or is eligible to hold one of the following credentials: Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA-C), Medical Doctor (MD), Certified Nurse
    Midwife, Registered Nurse (RN), Limited Practice Nurse (LPN).
    *Bachelor's degree in education, healthcare, or a related field preferred.
    *Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
    *Passion for teaching and mentoring diverse learners.
    *Experience in curriculum development and instructional technology.
    *Familiarity with the Colorado Career and Technical Education (CTE) framework.
    *Has knowledge and experience of and/or willingness to gain knowledge of Competency-Based Education approaches
    *Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
    *Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired
     
    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    *Develop and deliver CTE CNA/Medical Assistant curriculum in alignment with state and district standards and Front Range Community College.
    *Provide instruction in medical terminology, anatomy, clinical procedures, patient care, and administrative practices.
    *Supervise and evaluate student performance in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
    *Facilitate student preparation for industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Certified Medical
    Assistant).
    *Collaborate with local healthcare organizations to arrange clinical externships and job shadowing opportunities.
    *Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and certifications.
    *Support students in career exploration, post-secondary planning, and soft skills development.
    *Participate in professional development and stay current with healthcare and educational
    trends.
    *Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment.
