Job Description: Part-time CDL Driver

Location: Livingston


Pay Rate: $35 per hour


Organizational Responsibilities:

Reports to Supervisor of Maintenance and Transportation Coordinator


Performance Responsibilities:

  • Drive students and staff to their worksites (CBWE), Monday through Friday, am and pm group.

  • Drive students and staff to their CBI trips, Monday through Friday, am and pm group.

  • Be flexible to work on other trips as needed.  The Transportation Coordinator will notify the employee of these trips well in advance.

  • Fill the vehicles with gas.  No students are allowed on the bus while fueling up the buses.  This needs to be done before the start of their trip.  Therefore, allow enough time to get gas and be back in time for the start of the trip.

  • Drive vehicles to inspection/service as needed.  The supervisor of Maintenance will advise when this needs to be done.


Qualifications:

  • Must have valid NJ driver’s license, current medical examiner’s card, and current fingerprints.  A background check will be conducted.

  • Must have CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements.

  • Must be patient and compassionate as you will be working with students with special needs.
