American Welding & Gas Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bulk Distribution Director to lead and manage the daily operations of our global bulk distribution team in the Lexington, KY area. 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of logistics and distribution, and the ability to effectively coordinate with managers, schedules, and routing functions to ensure timely deliveries and optimal operational performance. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee all aspects of bulk distribution operations across the organization 

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of managers and logistics personnel 

• Coordinate routing, scheduling, and delivery execution to maximize efficiency and service levels 

• Maintain bulk cryogenic transport and gaseous tube trailer fleet 

• Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company standards 

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in transportation, cost control, and service reliability 

• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and supply chain teams 

• Maintain full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management 

Qualifications: 

• Proven leadership experience in logistics, transportation, or bulk distribution 

• Experience with cryogenic liquids, co2, and other bulk gaseous products 
• Approximately 70% travel is required across the designated region

• Strong operational and financial acumen, including P&L management 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 

• Strong communication and team development skills 

• Strong leadership and team building skills. 

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to think quickly in high-pressure situations. 

• Knowledge of transportation regulations, including DOT and safety standards. 

• Proficiency in dispatch software, routing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. 

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus.
