Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Bus Driver is responsible for the safe transport of program participants for the YMCA.

 

In addition, every position in the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc. is responsible for upholding the Judeo-Christian principles that are central to our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify the four pillars of character - caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Daily inspection and recording of bus/van maintenance log
  2. Daily recording of mileage
  3. Reporting all vehicle safety concerns to supervisor
  4. Keeping up to date and accurate records
  5. Ensuring the safety of all program participants during transport
  6. Assist in the overall retention and satisfaction of YMCA members through appropriate customer service
  7. Assist in the Annual Campaign fundraising program for the YMCA
  8. Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude with staff, peers, and program participants
  9. Must be qualified to drive manual and long-nosed busses
  10. All additional duties as assigned

Employees and volunteers shall cooperate with any external investigation by outside authorities or internal investigation conducted by the organization or persons given investigative authority by the organization. An employee or volunteer’s failure to cooperate with an investigation will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment or dismissal from the organization.
