Position Overview:

Job Title: Workers’ Compensation & Leave Case Manager
Location: 425 Paul Road, Rochester, NY 14624
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Director of Benefits
Employment Type: Full-Time - 40 hours per week, 8am – 4:30pm
Pay: $30 per hour

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end case management for all leave types, including FMLA, NY Paid Family Leave, and short-term disability
  • Determine leave eligibility, approvals, and denials; track intermittent leave utilization
  • Oversee Workers’ Compensation cases, including intake, claim filing, and ongoing coordination with carriers and internal stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave status, medical updates, and return-to-work planning
  • Coordinate concurrent leave designations (e.g., FMLA with Workers’ Compensation)
  • Review medical restrictions and facilitate return-to-work or accommodation processes in collaboration with leadership
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Track and report on claims activity, trends, and lost time; provide insights to leadership
  • Partner with Safety and HR teams to identify injury trends and support prevention strategies
  • Manage OSHA logs, reporting requirements, and annual postings
  • Provide guidance to managers on leave compliance, expectations, and employee support

What You Bring:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in leave administration and Workers’ Compensation case management
  • Strong working knowledge of FMLA, PFL, DBL, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation coordination
  • Experience managing high-volume caseloads with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Valid NYS Drivers license and willingness to drive to all Lifetime Assistance locations, as needed
