Job Description

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our Girls Lacrosse program at Orange County High. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the game, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. This full-time position involves not only coaching but also mentoring student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, and enhancing the overall lacrosse experience for all participants.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs that enhance the skills and performance of student-athletes.
- Plan and conduct daily practices, ensuring a safe and productive environment.
- Organize and manage all aspects of the girls lacrosse program, including scheduling games, transportation, and team logistics.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and respect among players.
- Collaborate with school administration, parents, and the community to promote the program.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and support their personal development.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate growth.
- Ensure compliance with all school and athletic association rules and regulations.
- Organize and lead team-building activities and community service projects.
- Attend coaching clinics and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in coaching and player development.

Requirements
- Proven experience coaching lacrosse at the high school level or higher.
- Strong knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques of lacrosse.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their best.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends for practices and games.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
- A passion for mentoring young athletes and fostering their personal and athletic growth.
