Women's Imaging Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our Patient Communications Department. We’re a well-established women’s imaging organization with 14 physical locations across GA & AL, specializing in state-of-the-art 2D/3D mammography and breast ultrasound.

What you’ll do:

Manage medical image + report flow - Respond to incoming requests from providers and patients for mammograms, ultrasounds, and reports 

Ensure HIPAA compliance - Verify authorization, document every request/response in the patient’s electronic chart, and release records only to authorized parties 

Facilitate electronic transfers - Send/receive patient images via Infinitt PACS, Life Image, and secure portals whenever possible 

Handle physical media - When electronic isn’t an option, burn CDs, print reports, and mail to requesting facilities with tracking for timely delivery 

Upload incoming studies - Import outside images from CD or portal into PACS for radiologist review 

Support the team - Scan, fax, file documents, answer phones, and assist with patient record requests as part of Patient Communications 

Maintain accuracy - Review records to ensure completeness and follow department standards for quality and timeliness


What you bring:

Required: High School Diploma or GED + 2+ years experience in a medical office, medical records, or HIM department 

Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook + ability to learn Infinitt PACS/EMR and Life Image 

Required: Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality 

Required: Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills 

Required: Professional phone/email etiquette and ability to work as a team player 

• Preferred: Experience with medical imaging records, PACS, or prior authorizations 

• Preferred: Familiarity with eClinicalWorks, EPIC, or similar EMR   


 

Job Details 

Type: Full-time, In-person

Schedule:  Monday-Friday, daytime shifts |No weekends/holidays/on-call
