Overview:

Care Hospice is looking for a strategic and highly collaborative Project Management Office (PMO) Lead - Healthcare Technology to help drive how technology work gets done across our organization. In this role, you’ll sit at the center of clinical, operational, and technology teams—bringing structure, clarity, and alignment to how initiatives are prioritized and executed.

You won’t just manage projects—you’ll help leaders make the right decisions about what to work on, when, and why. This is a high-impact role where your ability to balance priorities, influence stakeholders, and bring order to complexity will directly support patient care, operational performance, and organizational growth.

 

Location:This position is based out of our Charlottesville Support Center Office, located in the Dairy Market. This role offers a hybrid schedule, balancing occasional on-site work with remote flexibility. Candidates must be within driving distance of the office for on-site days.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the intake and prioritization of technology initiatives across the organization
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and business leaders to define needs, scope, and expected outcomes
  • Maintain a clear, centralized view of all active, planned, and deferred work
  • Facilitate prioritization discussions, balancing clinical impact, regulatory needs, and resource capacity
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership on what to prioritize and why
  • Align initiatives with available resources, timelines, and organizational goals
  • Monitor progress across initiatives, identifying risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks
  • Ensure coordination across teams working on shared systems or resources
  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Establish and lead governance processes, including intake reviews and executive updates
  • Create transparency into what work is underway, what’s next, and what’s on hold
  • Continuously improve processes to make it easier for teams to plan, prioritize, and execute work


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in portfolio management, project management, or demand management
  • Experience working in healthcare or another highly regulated environment
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or similar certification a plus
  • Experience in hospice or post-acute care preferred
  • Experience supporting EHR/EMR initiatives preferred
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, operations, and compliance considerations
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities

$125,000 - $150,000 per year (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
