We are now looking for a

Product Owner (PO), Simulation Platform

to join our team in Hyvinkää, Finland. We work in a hybrid way mixing office and remote work, with a minimum of three office days per week. We are looking for an experienced professional to join us full-time. 


Product Owner of Simulation Platform is responsible for providing business solutions at KONE. Expert in the engineering and simulation area. You understand how simulation data is managed and processed. You understand the application development process and have programming skills. The PO defines the business and functional requirements for development, creates development proposals for the Simulation areas, and plans development releases to support business process improvements.

You act as the bridge between engineering, simulation experts, and application development, owning both the simulation applications and the underlying data layout that enable reliable, reusable, and efficient simulations.


Responsibilities and Key Activities (focus on simulation system maintenance)

  • Responsible for managing the KONE Simulation system platform

  • Manage requirements and demand for the Simulation area

  • Work with core R&D simulation teams to turn requirements into specifications and manage development and testing through to the final solution

  • Support solution road mapping and backlog prioritization with stakeholders

  • Work closely with core R&D simulation teams, engineering functions, and IT

  • Support roadmap planning and decision-making with stakeholders

  • Manage key users, access rights, and software licenses

Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 4–6+ years of experience managing or developing simulation platforms, environments or engineering tools combined with B.Sc. or equivalent education

  • Experience with digital simulation ecosystems (e.g. digital twin, HIL, structural or system simulations)

  • Experience setting up services, and monitoring, maintaining, and developing technical platforms or services

  • Application development experience (C#, .NET, SQL) is considered advantage

  • Experience with project management and coordination

  • Analytical and conceptual thinking; innovative, self-driven, and able to think outside the box

  • Fluent collaboration and communication skills in English; able to work independently and in virtual, multicultural teams
