GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Responsible for ensuring proper assembly, inspection, and packaging of product according to specifications. Daily production activities are focused on value added assembly, visual inspection and packaging following a work order.
REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED is required
0-1 years’ experience with electronic assembly (or relevant manufacturing experience).
Must pass a drug test and pass a criminal background check.
Ability to read, write and understand directions in English
Basic math skills with ability to convert American Standard to metric.
Ability to handle/use small tools and components (tweezers, pliers, cutters etc.)
Position requires 20% standing or walking
May require vision testing to meet minimum customer requirements
Must be eligible to work in an ITAR environment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble, inspect, test, and package a variety of electronic products. Combine piece parts into final assembly, add or subtract sub-assemblies, inspection of connectors, set up and adjustment of tools to hold tolerances to blueprint specifications.
- Performs visual inspection and assembly tasks that are detailed in nature following work orders and in process inspection guidelines.
- Tasks deal with standardized situations involving a few concrete variables (size, color, sticker placement etc.) and may be performed by hand, by machine or both.
- Reads and follow strict specifications and/or blueprints or drawings. Reports variations to work process or instructions to supervisor before proceeding.
- sets up and uses assigned equipment. May work in warehouse, testing station or clean room.
- Minimize rejections and scrap by accurately following the appropriate manufacturing procedures.
- Accurately record scrap, scratches, machine concerns, safety incidents, and measurements.
- May be trained to use a variety of measuring devices including multi-meter, micrometer, scale, and go/no go gauges. May utilize handheld tools and demonstrate high attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
- Effectively operate assigned equipment, maintain work area cleanliness, and comply with all safety and PPE rules.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
