Work in a high volume, fast-paced environment where you will be working in both our on-site warehouse servicing specialty customer orders as well as working directly with our customers.



The Sourcing Specialist's primary responsibility is to process quote requests generated by customer requests and/or sales orders and work closely with the purchasing and sales departments to provide expertise and guidance as well as the best costs in a minimal amount of time which ultimately will result in increased sales and overall reduced costs.



Responsibilities:




  • Execute cost reduction strategies for purchased parts in collaboration with Suppliers, Quality, Buyers and Sourcing Specialists.

  • Support New Business by developing, validating, and sourcing various commodities.

  • Manage the quoting of assemblies and components between plater and secondary process sites to ensure a seamless transition.

  • Analyze supplier cost structures, negotiate favorable terms, and drive cost-saving initiatives.

  • Lead or contribute to project management activities, ensuring on-time and within-scope execution.

  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve performance and maintain quality standards.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance sourcing efficiency and effectiveness.



Requirements




  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in sourcing, project management, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing or distribution environment

  • Knowledge of fasteners, certification a plus

  • Pipe & Supply Experience a Plus



Key Skills & Competencies




  • Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and projects.

  • Technical knowledge of application and manufacturing processes, particularly in Fasteners

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading

  • Familiarity with PPAP and material certifications

  • Advanced data analysis skills to assess supplier cost drivers and identify savings opportunities.

  • Negotiation expertise to secure competitive supplier agreements.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Effective time management in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work under pressure, consistently meeting goals and deadlines.
