Job Title:

Mold Technician

 

Bonus Terms:

  • $1500 sign on bonus
  • Must be employed at the time of payout
  • Payouts will occur in installments, 30 days, 90 days and 180 days

Position Summary:

  Mold Technician position is responsible for the start-up, shut down, and troubleshooting of the molding process during   normal production runs. In addition, to setting up injection molding machines and all related equipment to allow the manufacture of product that meets or exceeds the established quality levels at the standard rates that have been established. Will also be required to assist maintenance department to trouble shoot problems on injection molding machines as well as related support equipment, including automation equipment. 

 

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with mold department supervisors, mold maintenance and mold techs in order to identify problems in the processing of product.
  • To continuously take a proactive PM position with the shops tooling.
  • Work with the outside sources as necessary in the development of processing techniques as it relates to tooling.
  • Review injection molding processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Ensure injection molding processes are optimized and documented.
  • To maintain cavitation
  • Assist action teams and increase awareness of continuous improvement to the technical staff.
  • To start up new tools, document and develop process sheets.

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; some technical schooling. 
  • Have 2 years experience as a molder.
  • Working knowledge of injection molding process. Hands on experience with injection molding tooling.
  • Be organized and be able to multitask in a fast pace manufacturing enviroment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Safety Expectations:

  • Safety is always the number one priority.  All actions taken will be conducted in the safest manner possible and without risking injury to yourself or others. 
  • Follow all Safe Practices and safety policies and procedures.
  • Report all accident, incidents, safety violations, near misses or unsafe conditions to your Supervisory IMMEDIATELY.  If any bodily fluid (bloodborne pathogens) are present, it must be properly cleaned by a trained employee.

Quality Expectations:

  • Our product is our livelihood.  We must ensure that our product is of the highest quality.  Every employee plays a part in quality
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices while in production areas
  • Adhere to all GFSI standards policies and procedures in regards to product Safety, Quality and Legality
  • Adhere to and enforce procedures in regards to Food Defense and HACCP
