If you're interested in cars, a detail-oriented person, and want to get into the automotive industry, Service Porter might be the right position for you.
The Service Porter helps the Service Drive run smoothly by washing and vacuuming vehicles, organizing service vehicles, and maintaining the service area. Here's what the standard day of a Service Porter might look like:
- Service Porters are stationed on the Service Drive in order to guide vehicles coming onto the drive and greet guests when a Service Advisor is not available.
- Service Porters keep the drive free of vehicles by moving them to the lot or the shop after they are checked in.
- Service Porters are the last person to be in the guest's vehicle before it is returned, so one of their most important jobs Service Porter is to serve as "Quality Control," ensuring each vehicle receives a light wash and vacuum, that there are not rags, tools or cleaning supplies left behind, and no grease stains on the steering wheel, handles, or windows.
- Other tasks as assigned.
