Retail Systems Specialist

We are currently searching for a Retail Systems Specialist to join our IT department. This position will provide direct assistance to the IT Department and the Sr. Director of Enterprise Applications.

Essential Duties

IT Systems Support and Maintenance:

  • Provide technical support for office and store-level IT systems, serving as the initial point of contact for users.
  • Analyze and resolve IT-related issues, collaborating with internal IT staff and external vendors as needed.
  • Manage hardware maintenance and updates for POS systems and other IT-related equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on IT equipment, including peripherals, to ensure proper operation.
  • Monitor system performance, error logs, and configurations to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Document and maintain inventory of store hardware and software. 
  • Install software updates, system upgrades, and resolve software-related issues.
  • Test and implement system changes when necessary to improve functionality.
  • Maintain and support software applications, including office and store-level proprietary systems.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate item pricing across corporate and store levels. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues. 
  • Provide support for VPN and remote access configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Respond to user inquiries via phone and email regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Open, track, and resolve tickets in the Help Desk ticketing system, escalating as needed.
  • Provide after-hours support on a rotational basis, including evenings and weekends.
  • Support and troubleshoot printers, copiers, mobile devices, video conferencing equipment, and other peripherals.
  • Perform similar and related duties as assigned by a supervisor.

          Qualifications

          • High school diploma or equivalent required.
          • Some college coursework, technical school, or following certifications preferred:
            • A+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent certifications.
          • Familiarity with:
              • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
              • Microsoft Office Suite
              • Active Directory fundamentals
              • Networking fundamentals
              • Mobile device environments (Android, iOS)
              • Google Apps for Business
              • Office 365
            • 2–5 years of experience in IT support and system maintenance.
            • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). 
            • Ability to lift IT equipment as needed.
            • Travel required; Must have ability to travel between store and office locations in a timely and reliable manner
            • Will work in physically demanding environments, including at heights, in crawl spaces, or in other hard-to-reach areas such as under desks, to install or maintain equipment.

              Pay range: $28.84 - $34.62 per hour
