    TITLE: LTS Health Office Aide (Primarily Secondary School)

    CLASSIFICATION: Non-Certified

    QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma and First Aid, CPR and AED Certification, healthcare background preferred 

    REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Licensed School Nurse (LSN)

    JOB GOAL: To assist the LSN in promoting and maintaining the health and wellness of all individuals within the District.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Monitor ill/injured students, apply first aid/appropriate intervention and refer to the LSN as appropriate
    2. Communicate compassionately and professionally with students, families and staff
    3. Maintain knowledge of all relevant student health plans and follow protocols listed within
    4. Dispense prescribed and OTC medication to students
    5. Perform daily electronic charting
    6. Assist in maintaining student health records and other health data
    7. Follow HIPAA and FERPA rules and guidelines
    8. Maintain knowledge regarding all district policies and state statutes that impact the health office
    9. Participate as a member of the Medical Emergency Response Team
    10. Assist the LSN with a variety of health related tasks, e.g., immunization record acquisition and documentation, health office organization, hearing and vision screening, communicating with families regarding a variety of health topics...

    HOURS/FTEThis position is open-ended due to the nature of the need and may last anywhere from weeks to months, potentially through the end of the school year. Preferred hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; however, part-time applicants will also be considered.
