CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Electric Distribution Engineer II to join our Electric Distribution Team in Reading, PA or Fort Washington, PA. In this role, you’ll help design, enhance, and modernize electric distribution systems—supporting infrastructure that communities depend on every day. This is an opportunity to grow your expertise, work on impactful projects, and contribute to forwardthinking energy solutions alongside seasoned professionals.

 

This position offers remote capabilities; however, local field work responsibilities are required.



What You'll Do::
  • Participate in the development of preliminary design concepts and perform comparative cost analyses for electric distribution systems
  • Assist in creating computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Identify and correct technical discrepancies in analytical results, following established procedures
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as firm and client standards
  • Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment and planning of electrical distribution networks


What You Bring::
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • Minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • Strong theoretical knowledge and willingness to learn within the engineering discipline
  • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and engineering software (PLS-CADD, Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range::

$72,000 - $80,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
