Responsibilities
The Field Marketing Development Manager – Japan is responsible for leading regional field marketing programs that drive qualified demand, pipeline contribution, and strong alignment with Sales and BU teams.
This role serves as the local marketing lead for portfolio‑driven and DevEng‑focused initiatives in Japan, translating regional GTM priorities and global DES marketing strategy into high‑impact, well‑executed local programs. In addition to hands‑on execution, the role provides program leadership, coordination, and oversight to enable disciplined, scalable field marketing operations in the Japan market.
Field Marketing & Program Leadership
- Lead the planning and execution of regional field marketing programs, including events, workshops, webinars, digital campaigns, and partner initiatives aligned with DES portfolio and BU priorities.
- Act as the Japan field marketing owner for Portfolio and DevEng‑related programs, ensuring alignment between global strategy and local execution.
- Provide guidance, coordination, and execution standards for local or extended marketing contributors as the team scales.
Program Execution & Operational Excellence
- Own end‑to‑end program delivery, including planning, timelines, vendors/agencies, logistics, asset readiness, localization, and execution quality.
- Ensure programs meet global marketing standards while being appropriately tailored to Japan market requirements.
- Drive strong operational discipline across lead tagging, routing, enrichment, follow‑up readiness, and SLA compliance.
Sales & BU Alignment
- Partner closely with Sales, SDR, and BU teams to ensure programs support technical engagement, account priorities, SQL readiness, and pipeline progression.
- Act as a trusted marketing counterpart to sales leadership and technical teams in Japan.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Track and analyze field marketing performance across MQLs, conversion quality, and pipeline contribution.
- Drive regular reporting and insights to regional and global stakeholders to support decision‑making and optimization.
Planning, Governance & Alignment
- Translate regional GTM, portfolio, and global campaign priorities into executable local field marketing plans.
- Ensure compliance with global marketing processes, data governance standards, and reporting requirements.

- Regional Sales, Account Teams, and Solution Engineering / Technical Sales
- Regional Portfolio and Field Marketing counterparts
- Global DES Marketing, BU Marketing, and MarCom
- Marketing Operations and BI teams
- External agencies, vendors, and partners
Qualifications
- Experience in field marketing, field marketing management, or marketing programs with clear ownership of regional execution
- Strong program leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders
- Solid understanding of lead management processes, funnel metrics, and pipeline contribution
- Proven ability to partner effectively with Sales and technical teams
- Detail‑oriented, process‑driven mindset combined with strong execution discipline
- Languages: Fluent English and Japanese
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation platforms
- Exposure to portfolio‑based GTM planning or global campaign localization
- B2B or enterprise technology marketing experience
- Experience working in a matrixed, global organization
- Strong understanding of the Japan market
