This position is hybrid and remote eligible for up to 20% of the time. The office location for this position is at ESL Headquarters in Rochester NY. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

Pay and Incentive Plan:
Fiduciary Officer Starting Salary: $114,000 Salary Range: $100,921-$127,228
Please note: Interested candidates who meet the qualifications of a Sr. Fiduciary Officer may be considered for that role. Qualifications listed below.
Sr. Fiduciary Officer Starting Salary: $143,000 Salary Range: $126,500-$159,500

Purpose of Position:
The role of a Fiduciary Officer involves developing, administering, and supporting fiduciary accounts while maintaining the highest service standards and fiduciary compliance. The individual in this role will act as an expert in administering, communicating, managing client relationships, new business development and interpreting legal documents.
Accountabilities:
Relationship Management
- Review client relationships, interpreting legal documents, prepare reports and communications for clients and outside advisors.
- Maintain high levels of customer service for all Wealth clients and ESL FCU members.
- Perform and approve account regulatory reviews, prepare discretionary distribution requests, complete operational duties for client accounts
- New Account and Trust Acceptance Committee voting member
Assist in maintaining and developing trust company operations, policies and
procedures
- Ongoing responsibilities with trust operations and trust systems
- Develop and maintain operational efficiencies in efforts of achieving business and compliance objectives
- Participate in the development and onboarding of new fiduciary business
- Provide team backup when needed
Participation in new and existing business activities
- Assist team members and also be able to lead in business activities
- Work with COI’s to strengthen relationships
- Continue to education ESL FCU members, employees and the outside community about ESL Trust Services
- Utilize technical knowledge of fiduciary standards, tax and operations to provide the best customer experience for new and existing clients.
Comply with regulatory, compliance and code of ethics
- Comply with NYS Department of Financial Services trust regulations
- Adhere to ESL FCU guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Remain up to date on industry rules and best practices thru continuing education
- Cultivate and maintain productive working rapport with ESL personnel on all levels

Fiduciary Officer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent directly related experience
- Minimum of 7 years proven trust experience; may consider relevant combination of experience in
financial services, legal, operations, compliance or audit. - Must include client facing interaction and documentation and/or generation experience.
- Demonstrates discretion, empathy, and professionalism when navigating sensitive family and financial matters
- Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
- Explains complex fiduciary concepts in a respectful, clear manner
- Builds trust and rapport with clients, colleagues, and external partners
- Adapts well to changing legal and regulatory environments
- Collaborates effectively across departments and disciplines
- Maintains ethical integrity and sound judgment in decision-making
Fiduciary Officer Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience
- Additional industry certifications (CTFA, CFP, RP, CEPS, etc.)
- Willingness to obtain advanced degree or industry certifications.
Sr. Fiduciary Officer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience in business, finance, mathematics, accounting, or a
related field - 10+ years of experience in trust administration or a related field (legal, compliance, auditing, or
operations may be considered) - 5+ years in a client-facing capacity
- Demonstrated experience interpreting legal documents or contributing to lead generation activities
- Master's degree or JD preferred
