We are seeking a Behavior Support Supervisor to oversee our team of Behavior Support Technicians, ensuring a safe and effective school setting.

 

Our Victory Learning Center Programs offers specialized educational services for students who are diagnosed with Autism or a Cognitive Disability paired with a mental health diagnosis.  There are two separate sites conveniently located in Lackawanna, NY, with a third site opening in September 2026! Our schools service students ages 5-21, who are residentially placed or are referred through their local school district's Committee on Special Education.

Responsible to: Behavior Support Team Coordinator
 
Job Summary:
 The Behavior Support Supervisor is responsible for leading, mentoring and supporting other Behavior Support Technicians in the following duties; classroom observation; data collection; training staff to implement individual behavior protocols and behavior intervention plans; and treatment integrity monitoring. This individual also may be assigned to one or more special projects including training modules, facilitating the FBA process at the direction of the Behavior Support Team Coordinator, administrative and organization tasks associated with these assignments.  
 
Essential Job Duties:
The Behavior Support Supervisor must be able to successfully perform all essential functions of the position.  
1. Lead and support School Age Behavior Support Technician Team with collecting, organizing and maintaining data for Functional Behavioral Assessments/Behavioral Intervention Plans and school wide behavior management plan
2. Supervisor School Age Behavior Technicians
3. Maintain data for Behavior Intervention Plans per school wide plan
4. Train classroom team on Behavior Intervention Plan implementation and other necessary data collection
5. Provide behavioral consultation to school age teams about student behavior 
6. Provide crisis intervention for students.
7. Leads TCI training approaches and best-practice behavior methods for all school age behavior technician staff.  Will also support training new staff and recertifying current staff in TCI. 
8. Assist with the completion of reports.
9. Create an environment that is comfortable for being open and honest about views, feelings, and opinions
10. Share knowledge about the organizations culture and operating standards
11. Make introductions to people who can assist in both short and long term goals of the new behavior technicians 
12. Motivate and encourage during new challenges, changes, or difficulties
13. Ability to objectively assess situations and interactions, and offer suggestions for growth and ongoing feedback. 
14. Conduct all duties, responsibilities, and daily activities in accordance with current best practice and ethical guidelines requirements. 
15. Will act on behalf of Behavior Support Team Coordinator
16. Any other duty as requested by your Supervisor.

Education: 
Minimum Degree Required: Associates Degree in Education, Criminal Justice, Mental Health or related field 
 
Preferred is a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, School Psychology or Mental Health Counseling
 
Minimum Experience Required: 
At least 3-5 years in the development/implementation of behavioral support plans with individuals who have developmental disabilities and/or mental health concerns using Applied Behavior Analysis methodology.
*Must demonstrate knowledge and competences in Applied Behavioral Analysis
 
Required License/Registration/Certification: 
- NYS Driver’s License
- TCI Trainer (must obtain within 6 months from start date)

Physical Requirements:
The overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort with occasional light physical exertion required. There is little, if any, exposure to environmental conditions.
