Job Description

Engineer offshore flow assurance that performs—safely, reliably, sustainably.

At Worley, we’re delivering a more sustainable world. As a Senior Process Engineer – Flow Assurance Specialist, you’ll lead the steady‑state and transient design that keeps offshore systems stable from wellhead to topsides—helping our customers deliver reliable energy today while accelerating the transition to lower‑carbon solutions.

Purpose of the role

You’ll work independently at a senior level to define, verify and optimize flow assurance and process scope across concept, FEED, EPC and commissioning. From multiphase simulation to operating procedures, you’ll ensure designs meet codes, mitigate operability risks and integrate seamlessly with subsea, riser and topsides systems.

Core responsibilities

  • Act as the focal point for flow assurance across FEED, detailed design and commissioning, driving clarity on scope, schedule and quality.
  • Review and execute steady‑state and transient studies; validate pipeline and riser sizing, insulation and heating concepts.
  • Assess and propose mitigations for hydrates, wax, asphaltenes, corrosion and erosion through design and operations strategies.
  • Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, control logic and operating envelopes; define chemicals and pigging strategies.
  • Author start‑up, shutdown, pigging and chemical injection procedures; support FAT/SAT and readiness reviews.
  • Perform advanced thermo‑hydraulic, transient and multiphase simulation; interpret PVT data, hydrate curves and WAT.
  • Collaborate with subsea, riser, process, mechanical, instruments and operations teams; mentor Level I/II engineers.
  • Document decisions (TQs/TDs), close actions and deliver final technical reports and material specifications.

Skills & experience

  • MUST: Proven experience in OFFSHORE projects across basic and detailed engineering.
  • 12+ years in offshore engineering with exposure to jackets, topsides, subsea pipelines, risers, SURF and FPSO systems; deepwater SPS & flowline/riser experience preferred.
  • Tools: Expert in OLGA, PIPESIM, LedaFlow; thermodynamics packages PVTsim, Multiflash, GATE PRho; process simulation HYSYS.
  • Strong command of multiphase flow behavior (slugging, thermal‑hydraulic design) and transient operations.
  • Able to lead multi‑discipline integration and coach junior engineers; excellent stakeholder communication in complex settings.
  • Languages: English C1; Spanish native or professional fluency.

Codes & standards

  • API 17A, 17K; DNV‑ST‑F101/F119; ISO 13628, 19901, 13703, 14224; ASME, API, TEMA, NFPA; applicable NOM/ASEA.
