The role

ALS Geochemistry is looking for a Fire Assay Weigher to work in our Fire Assay section at our facility located in Malaga.

Fire Assay is a process for analysing precious metals in mineral samples.

This is a casual position that involves fortnightly rotating shifts, including day, afternoon, and night shifts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working safely in the laboratory environment, including chemical handling

  • Weighing of samples according to various methods

  • Developing an understanding of laboratory practice and scientific processes

  • Performing equipment checks and calibrations to ensure accuracy and precision of results

  • Working in a team
