The role
ALS Geochemistry is looking for a Fire Assay Weigher to work in our Fire Assay section at our facility located in Malaga.
Fire Assay is a process for analysing precious metals in mineral samples.
This is a casual position that involves fortnightly rotating shifts, including day, afternoon, and night shifts.
Responsibilities include:
Working safely in the laboratory environment, including chemical handling
Weighing of samples according to various methods
Developing an understanding of laboratory practice and scientific processes
Performing equipment checks and calibrations to ensure accuracy and precision of results
Working in a team
