Job Description

Mazak Corporation is looking for a Run-Off Technician to join the Assembly Team. The Run-Off Technician assures the machine functions properly and within required specifications before delivery to the customer.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
• Inspect and correct electrical functions of machines.
• Inspect and correct mechanical alignments of machines.
• Inspect all mechanical parts and subassemblies for proper operation.
• Select and assure imbedded computer programs of machines function properly.
• Set machine parameters and “home position” for all axes.
• Preform inspections using precision equipment including Micron indicators, digital levels, calipers, micrometers, and positioning laser equipment.
• Operate laser equipment to check position accuracy and repetitional positioning.
• Preform basic computer programs to assure ball-bar accuracy.
• Install tooling and chucks on machines as necessary.
• Perform test cutting and operate machine through test cycles.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.

Education/Certification:
• High school diploma required.
• Two-year degree preferred.
• Unit assembly and machine assembly experience preferred.
