As a Driver in our Transportation Department, your main responsibility will be ensuring our guests have pleasant and most importantly safe ride to and from General Mitchell International Airport or any other authorized transport.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for transporting guests safely and securely.
- Greeting guests at Hotel’s Main Entrance.
- Must have guest service experience.
- Must be knowledgeable about the Greater Milwaukee Area and General Mitchell International Airport.
- Direct and consistent communication with the Transportation Supervisor.
- Inspect van for cleanliness prior to transport and address issues as necessary (ie. snow removal, vacuuming, trash removal from previous transports, etc)
- Expected to fuel vans to assure appropriate fuel levels for transport.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues to Transportation Supervisor (ie. oil changes, low air in tires, damages to vehicle, etc.)
- Outgoing and pleasant personality.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Must have weekend availability.
- One or more years of customer service experience preferred.
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Background Screening following Company Policy.
- Must have the ability to sit and drive for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs (ie. luggage, boxes, other).
- Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with all department management, staff, personnel and general public.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
