THE OPPORTUNITY
RS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III (3 PM - 11 PM) to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical equipment in our manufacturing facility. This role involves advanced preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment failures, and performing complex mechanical and electrical repairs to ensure safe and efficient production.
Success in this role requires technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Perform advanced preventive maintenance and complex repairs on facility and manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to maintain safe and reliable production
Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Maintain and repair pumps, drive systems, piping, valves, and other mechanical components
Operate shop tools and equipment for repairs and fabrication
Support installation, rebuilds, and upgrades of production systems
Execute lubrication routes and preventive maintenance programs
Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately
Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, rigging, and lifting practices
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU BRING
High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred
4+ years of industrial maintenance or manufacturing experience with advanced troubleshooting and repair skills
Proven ability to independently repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment
Night shift role: training will be during the day before transitioning to 3 PM - 11 PM and eventually the continental shift
Basic PLC hardware and I/O troubleshooting (Siemens preferred)
Strong knowledge of pumps, drive systems, piping, valves, and other critical plant equipment
Proficiency with shop tools, power tools, and measurement equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, specifications, and maintenance standards
Experience supporting preventive maintenance, lubrication routes, and equipment reliability programs
Overhead crane certification required or ability to obtain
Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and company policies
