DEFINITION OF POSITION: The primary purpose of the Food Service Worker position is to assure healthy food and customer service, produced in a clean and safe environment, in accordance with dietary standards and procedures, state and local regulations and as may be directed by the Food Service Manager or Food Service Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to maintain the care, use and safety of supplies, equipment, and work areas in the proper performance of work duties.
- Must have good health practices and hygiene.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods throughout the workday.
- Able to meet service and food issues for age-specific, cultural and dietary needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
- Must be able to follow written, pictorial and verbal instructions.
- Must have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with personnel in all Hospital departments.
- Willingness to learn and use GRH's Total Quality Management (TQM) skills.
- Must have current Food Handlers Card.
- Customer service champion.
- Must be a strong team player.
Additional Notes: Staff support role, cover for absences/vacations/leaves. AM/PM Variable shift coverage.
Compensation
$19.79 - $28.06 Per Hour DOE
