Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees, such as paid leave and holidays. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees and up to one calendar year for part-time employees.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • The researcher should have strong background in computational methods in electrical engineering, Matlab and Python programming experience, and will perform simulations in advanced optimization algorithms such as Genetic Programing. Strong knowledge of antennas and electromagnetism is strongly desired. Much of the research work will be focused on advanced antenna designs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Senior in the ECE program
  • Took antenna and computational methods courses
  • Will graduate with a Bachelor's degree in ECE in spring 2026

Desirable Qualifications
  • Interested in the PhD program in ECE
