Brandywine Living, a premier provider of quality senior living, is seeking an Executive Chef to join our team!
The Executive Chef is responsible for all food production including that used for restaurants. Develop menus, food purchase specifications and recipes, supervise staff, develop and monitor food and labor budget for the department and maintain the highest professional food quality and sanitation standards
- Plans daily menus for community and special events.
- Schedules and coordinates the work of chefs, cooks, and other kitchen employees to ensure that food preparation is economical and technically correct and within budgeted labor cost goals.
- Ensures that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times.
- Safeguards all food preparation employees by implementing training to increase their knowledge about safety, sanitation, and accident prevention principles.
- Develops standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation which help to assure consistently high quality and to minimize food costs; exercises portion control for all items served and assists in establishing menu selling prices.
- Ensures proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of quality; controls food and payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability.
- Evaluates food products to ensure that quality standards are consistently attained.

Requirements
Qualifications
• College degree or Certification preferably in culinary arts, hospitality, nutrition, or business
• Minimum of two (2) years of culinary services administration experience, preferably in Senior Living
• ServSafe certification required
• Must have training and experience in cost control, food management, and diet therapy.
• Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications.
• Competence in organizational and time management skills and demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Physical Abilities
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
