About the Department
In accordance with the policies of Pratt Public Safety, and under the supervision of the Public Safety Tour Supervisor, incumbents will perform duties supporting the safe access to campus residence halls and as needed fixed Public Safety posts.
Campus Security Assistants work closely with Public Safety Officers (Public Safety Officer Level II) and Residence Life professional staff. The major distinction between a Campus Security Assistant (Public Safety Officer Level I) and a Public Safety Officer (Public Safety Officer Level II) is that Campus Security Assistants are not required to have an NYS driver's license at the time of hire, nor to maintain the same throughout their employment with Pratt.
