Reach University is seeking a dedicated and experienced Professor of Practice to join our faculty community. This role requires active participation in various training programs, timely communication, and consistent engagement with candidates, faculty, and staff.

Job responsibilities

  • Teaching and Instruction:
    • Teach assigned courses, ensuring high-quality instruction and student engagement.
    • Plan and facilitate synchronous course meetings and asynchronous learning activities.
    • Develop and implement course readings, learning scaffolds, assignments, and assessments.
  • Student Communication and Support:
    • Provide timely and impactful feedback on all assigned coursework.
    • Communicate with candidates and advisors if a student is at risk of failing by midterm.
    • Hold office hours and meet with candidates to support their learning and success.
  • Coaching and Mentorship:
    • Provide one-on-one coaching and support.
    • Develop strong relationships with candidates to engage in transformative coaching.
    • Conduct regular coaching cycles, review lesson plans, provide feedback, and facilitate reflective coaching conversations.
  • Onboarding and Training:
    • Participate in yearly onboarding sessions.
    • Complete mandatory Canvas and Craft Connect training and implement the tools within courses.
    • Complete all required PD courses, including training on successful implementation of the Oxford Tutorial Method
  • Course and Grading Management:
    • Maintain regular grading and input grades as assignments are completed.
    • Ensure all faculty surveys and end-of-term closeout procedures are completed.
  • Engagement and Professional Development:
    • Read and adhere to the student and faculty handbook.
    • Participate in faculty learning communities, professional development activities, and other collaborative efforts.
