Anticipated Opening 2026-27

Red Bank Catholic High School is seeking an American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year.

Qualified candidates must be highly organized, flexible, enthusiastic and able to collaborate with others. They will be responsible for teaching the introductory levels of ASL in accordance with ACFFL and school standards as well as help students develop both linguistic proficiency and cultural awareness of the Deaf community. Candidates are to  develop engaging, communicative lessons that integrate Deaf culture and history.
In addition, they are to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to express themselves through ASL as well as design assessments and track student progress to ensure meaningful skill development.They should also have the ability to use technology on a daily basis with understanding of Google applications.

Candidates will also be involved in the development of the curriculum as it begins with the primary level.

All applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies, ASL Education, Linguistics, or a related field. Prior teaching experience is preferred and have either a NJ teaching certification or be in progress of certification.

The salary range for this position is $ 40,000 - 60,000   per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
