Summary
Bethany High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our coaching staff as an Assistant Football Coach . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of football fundamentals, particularly in defensive strategies, and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. This full-time position offers an opportunity to impact young athletes' lives both on and off the field while contributing to the overall success of our football program.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing practice plans .
- Coach and mentor student-athletes in defensive back positions, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Analyze game film to evaluate player performance and develop strategies for upcoming opponents.
- Conduct position-specific drills and workouts to enhance players' skills and understanding of defensive schemes.
- Collaborate with other coaches to create a cohesive and effective defensive game plan.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and promote a balance between athletics and academics.
- Attend all practices, games, and team meetings, contributing to a positive team culture.
- Assist in organizing team events, including camps, fundraisers, and community outreach programs.
- Maintain open communication with players, parents, and school administration regarding team policies and player development.
- Uphold the values and mission of Bethany High School and the football program, serving as a role model for student-athletes.

Requirements

- Previous coaching experience, particularly with defensive backs at the high school or collegiate level, is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of football strategies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, players, and school administration.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass a background check and adhere to all school and district policies regarding athletics.
- A passion for developing young athletes both on the field and in their personal lives.
