Position Summary

The HV Clinical Reflective Supervisor is responsible for supporting the delivery and quality of MECA’s Home Visiting Program through clinical oversight and reflective supervision. Working closely with the Home Visiting Director, this position organizes, facilitates, and coordinates reflective supervision activities for home visitors and parent educators to ensure program integrity and staff well-being.

The Clinical Reflective Supervisor helps promote safe and nurturing relationships between young children and their caregivers, implements strategies that prevent adverse childhood experiences, and supports staff in promoting family well-being.

Education and Licensure:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Development, or related field (required)
  • Active New Mexico license (LMHC, LPCC, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT required)
  • Infant Mental Health Endorsement preferred or must obtain within 2 years of hire

  • Ability to train and mentor staff with professionalism and cultural sensitivity

Essential Duties

The HV Clinical Reflective Supervisor will operate within all local, state, and federal regulations as well as MECA policies and procedures.

  • Provide reflective supervision to home visitors and parent educators at least twice monthly
  • Support reflective practice and trauma-informed care across the program
  • Collaborate with the Home Visiting Director to develop supervision schedules, goals, and reflective learning activities
  • Guide staff in developing positive outcomes and goals for families based on assessments and curricula
  • Promote safe and nurturing relationships between young children and their caregivers
  • Monitor and ensure quality documentation and compliance with CYFD and ECECD standards
  • Maintain family and staff confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and trainings
  • Support continuous quality improvement and professional development initiatives

 

Caseload & Productivity

  • Supervise multiple home visitors/parent educators providing services to 15–28 families, depending on program needs
  • Ensure reflective supervision is conducted a minimum of two times per month per supervisee
  • Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in data management systems

Documentation

  • Document all reflective supervision sessions accurately and submit to the Home Visiting Director
  • Ensure all family-related data and outcomes are entered in CYFD databases as required
  • Support staff in maintaining up-to-date and compliant family files

Staff Development and Training

  • Attend all required MECA, CYFD, and ECECD trainings
  • Participate in reflective consultation and ongoing professional development
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new home visiting staff
  • Develop and maintain a professional development plan identifying areas of strength and growth

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure high-quality reflective supervision and adherence to Home Visiting standards
  • Promote ethical practice and family-centered care
  • Participate in routine file audits and program reviews to ensure compliance and service quality

All MECA staff must adhere to state and federal guidelines and standards, as well as MECA policies, procedures, and ethical practices.
