MSCI's Private Assets business is one of the highest-priority and fastest-growing areas. We're not incrementally improving legacy tools — we're building the data and AI infrastructure that the next generation of private markets will run on. That means greenfield product opportunities, proprietary datasets, and the chance to genuinely influence how the industry evolves. The GP Solutions team focuses specifically on the needs of general partners—private equity, growth equity, venture, and private credit managers—across the full investment lifecycle.
As an Analyst on the GP Solutions team, you will play a hands-on role in supporting product strategy, conducting market and client research, and helping translate GP workflows into data- and AI-enabled product solutions. This is an entry-level role ideal for recent undergraduates or early-career professionals with a strong interest in private markets, financial technology, or product development. We're looking for someone with genuine ambition to contribute ideas, challenge assumptions, and take ownership. You'll sit alongside experienced product managers, work directly with GP clients, and partner with research, data, and engineering teams. The thinking you do here will show up in products used by some of the world's leading private equity and credit managers.
This is a team of builders. We move fast, think from first principles, and have a direct line to the clients and markets we serve. You will work alongside experienced product managers, client-facing teams, and cross-functional partners in research, data, and engineering. The role provides broad exposure to how a global fintech firm develops and brings to market products used by leading GPs worldwide.
Your Key Ressponsibilities
- Conduct market and competitive research to identify trends and emerging needs across GP workflows, synthesizing findings into clear summaries for product strategy discussions.
- Support client discovery sessions by preparing materials, capturing insights, and helping distill key takeaways from conversations with GPs and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in developing product documentation including user stories, requirements briefs, and feature specifications.
- Help track and prioritize incoming product requests from Client Coverage and Sales, supporting structured intake and BAU governance processes.
- Collaborate with UX and engineering teams to communicate product requirements and provide input on design and functionality.
- Monitor post-launch product performance by gathering and organizing data on adoption, usage, and client feedback.
- Partner with Research, Data, and Program Management teams on product initiatives, helping coordinate across workstreams and track progress against milestones.
- Support go-to-market activities including preparation of sales enablement materials, product one-pagers, and launch briefs.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to support business cases and product prioritization decisions.
- Build and maintain trackers, dashboards, and reports that provide visibility into product performance and strategic initiatives.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
Required
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, computer science, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience; internship experience in investment management, financial services, consulting, or technology is a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex information into clear, concise outputs.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data visualization or project management tools is a plus.
- Genuine curiosity about private markets, financial technology, or enterprise software.
Preferred
- Exposure to private equity, venture capital, private credit, or alternative investments through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with product management concepts, agile methodologies, or software development workflows.
