POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

This role will be responsible for managing the warehouse's day-to-day operational activities of a cold storage facility, including the movement of inventory and resources, and the proper scheduling of employees. This role will also oversee the facility�s safety and security programs, ensuring the company�s performance, housekeeping, equipment, and security standards are consistently being met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

� Assign work, set completion dates, review work, and manage performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes

� Partner with sales, inventory control, and operations support to ensure availability of products

� Facilitate the achievement of prescribed company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regarding cost, productivity, customer service, profits, and team members. Analyze operational reports to identify trends and recommend solutions to management

� Perform long-term labor forecasting based on sales forecasts and input from management

� Cultivate a culture of productivity, belonging and responsibility. Communicate company goals and vision, objectives, and direction to warehouse staff

� Establish an environment of teamwork, employee involvement/empowerment, fairness, and consistency. Promote the Open-Door Philosophy.

� Operate the facility in compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations which establishes a culture of safety

� Build and maintain partnerships with other departments across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

� Strong leadership skills, with emphasis on guiding and developing a team, customer service, communications, and planning

� 5 years warehouse management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

� Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)

� Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and employees of the organization

� Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

� Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
