About the Role:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school operates in a safe, well‑maintained, and welcoming environment where students and staff can thrive. You will support the Facilities Coordinator with planned and reactive maintenance across the school site, carrying out day‑to‑day repairs and preventative maintenance to buildings, equipment, and outdoor areas. Your work will include basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor building tasks, as well as routine checks to identify and resolve issues before they escalate. You will respond to maintenance tickets, liaise with colleagues and external contractors, and help manage urgent situations such as leaks or power outages. Throughout your work, you will strictly follow health, safety, and safeguarding procedures, contributing to a culture of care, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Who We Are Looking For:
You are a practical, reliable, and organised individual with proven experience in maintenance or a relevant technical qualification. You have a good working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, and you are confident using hand tools to resolve faults efficiently. You take pride in working safely, understand health and safety requirements, and approach tasks with a problem‑solving mindset. Comfortable working independently, you also communicate well with colleagues and external suppliers. Ideally, you bring experience in schools, public buildings, or similar environments, along with a flexible, proactive approach and a strong commitment to safeguarding and teamwork.
