Title: AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic

Brief Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic to support a Foreign Military Customer at an overseas location. This role requires advanced technical expertise in airframe inspection, corrosion control, as well as the ability to operate effectively in an international, customer-facing environment. The selected candidate will perform detailed inspections, identify discrepancies, and develop repair procedures while ensuring compliance with U.S. Army aviation standards and FMS program requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth airframe inspections to identify structural faults, damage, and system discrepancies on AH-64 aircraft.
- Perform comprehensive corrosion inspections, assessment, and documentation in accordance with applicable technical manuals.
- Execute laser alignment checks to verify structural integrity and proper alignment of aircraft components.
- Develop and document repair work procedures based on detailed inspection findings in accordance with OEM and U.S. Army standards.
- Review and validate historical aircraft logbooks and maintenance records to ensure total time tracking, compliance, and completion of required maintenance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to host nation personnel as required.
- Ensure all maintenance actions comply with FMS program requirements, U.S. Army technical publications, and customer regulations.
- Support troubleshooting in coordination with program leadership and customer representatives.
- Performs other tasks as needed
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as an AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic (military or contractor experience required).
- Strong expertise in airframe inspections, corrosion control, laser alignment, and NDI/NDT methods.
- Ability to develop maintenance and repair procedures from inspection results.
- Experience reviewing aircraft maintenance records and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with U.S. Army aviation technical manuals.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring methods
- Must have strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Must be detail oriented with good analytical skills and ability to handle multiple tasks independently
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must have attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Must demonstrate positive, polite, and professional behavior at all times when dealing with co-workers, customers, and all levels of management
- Must have the ability to communicate using clear, concise, and accurate English; both verbal and written are Required
Preferred Qualifications
Prior FMS or international aviation support experience.
Experience training host nation personnel.
Experience working at CCAD on AH-64 platform as a Planning Engineer or Quality Assurance Inspector is a plus.
NDI / NDT experience is a plus.
Experience working in overseas or austere environments.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to deploy overseas for extended periods.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (if required).
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Must meet passport, visa, and medical requirements for international travel.
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to: bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift, move, and transport items frequently over 10 pounds.
Work Environment:
Generally, work is conducted in an inside office environment, but may also involve some outside work depending on the task. The inside environment may be in an office or cubicle with close quarters, low to moderate noise, and bright or dim lighting. Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates and while on travel.
