The CCA Classroom Teacher is a vital member of Christ's Church Ministries, helping to advance Christ's Church Academy's mission to make disciples (Matt. 28:18), better disciples (Acts 2:42), and more disciples (Mark 16:15) through excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts.
With guidance and in partnership with the Upper or Lower School Principal and the Head of School, the Classroom Teacher will provide Biblically integrated instruction designed to help students learn developmental skills and subject matter expertise.

- Receives primary direction from the Upper or Lower School Principal regarding the prioritization of day-to-day duties and responsibilities.
- Collaborates with CCA Administrative Team to provide support for school events as needed.
- Builds and maintains relationships across the school community.
- Team player willing to flex and help support efforts collaboratively.
- Follow the Matthew 18 principal in navigating conflict with students, parents, faculty, and/or administration. Supports the broader school community by attending extracurricular events when possible.

Essential Functions
- Reflect the mission of the school by discipling students and helping them to know Jesus, be transformed by Jesus, and be on mission with Jesus.
- Maintains a professional and orderly classroom environment conducive for student learning and safety.
- Integrate Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout lesson plans, curriculum, classroom instruction, and activities.
- Implement best teaching practices that employ a variety of instructional methods (clear objectives for each lesson, higher level thinking questions, data driven instruction, differentiated instruction, etc.).
- Utilize instructional strategies designed to keep students actively engaged in learning.
- Establish and communicate realistic student expectations and well-defined classroom rules and procedures.
- Develop and maintain lesson plans that meet individual student needs and the necessary quarter, semester, and yearlong curriculum objectives.
- Teach classes as assigned following the prescribed scope, sequence, and standards.
- Assign meaningful student work to promote student learning and provide opportunities for review and enrichment.
- Keep students, parents, and the administration adequately informed of academic progress and/or deficiencies and give sufficient notice of possible student failure.
- Maintain regular and accurate attendance and grade records.
- Utilize educational opportunities and evaluation processes for professional development.
- Prioritize the responsibilities of a classroom teacher ahead of other jobs or volunteer activities.
