Job Description

Job Summary: The Warehouse Lead will assist the Warehouse Manager with monitoring and maintaining the day-to-day operations.



 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Assists the Warehouse Manager in assigning daily work to meet daily route delivery schedule, adapting to changes and organizing the schedule for the following day 







  • Ensures paperwork is ready at start of shift, separating and distributing by route  







  • Acts as a point of contact for employees for matters on employee relations, training, safety and general inquires, reporting and/escalating up to the Warehouse Manager 







  • Maximizes department efficiencies and cost savings opportunities through proper planning and time management 







  • Assists Warehouse Manager with performance management, providing valuable insight into performance and exemplification of the Company’s Core Values for each team member 







  • Conducts new hire training and other specialty trainings  







  • Checks returns into warehouse with warehouse staff 







  • Closes the facility after shift, ensuring the safety of the building 







  • Follows all safety procedures and actively participates in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives 







  • Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury, accident, or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately 







  • Supports and complies with GMP’s; understands and follows emergency action plan 







  • Supports food safety, quality, and legality 







  • Ensures the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements 







  • Other duties as assigned
