SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Stock Manufacturing Lead supervises the manufacturing of Weatherby rifle stocks. This role oversees sanding, blemish repair, 3DHex Recoil Pad installation, curing, and inspection. The Lead is responsible for coaching and developing team members, maintaining workflow efficiency, and ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPIs are met. Collaboration with other departments is critical to ensure smooth material flow, inventory, and production.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Supervise stock manufacturing operations including sanding, blemish repair, curing, and 3DHex Recoil Pad installation.
- Set schedules, assign work, and manage throughput to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPIs.
- Inspect stocks post-coating and curing to ensure Weatherby quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP/MES systems and spreadsheets.
- Coach, train, and evaluate employees to build skills and improve performance.
- Promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment while enforcing safety procedures.
- Oversee safety protocols, including respirator use and incident reporting.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehousing to ensure material availability.
- Facilitate solutions for production issues and implement process improvements.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth product flow and timely delivery.
- Perform hands-on manufacturing tasks when needed to support the team.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Six months to one year of related manufacturing experience preferred.
- Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read work orders, production schedules, and reports.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP or MES systems and lean manufacturing principles a plus.
- Ability to balance efficiency with quality and meet production deadlines.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MEASURES
- Meet objective goals assigned during performance coaching.
- Ensure assigned orders are completed on schedule. Maintain Weatherby quality standards and production KPIs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to acknowledge: Ability to stand for prolonged periods; walk; use hands to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to meet respirator use requirements, including maintaining a clean seal between the face and respirator, and completing medical evaluation and fit testing.
- Routinely lift and/or move up to 55 lbs; push up to 87 lbs; pull up to 130 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a manufacturing and stock production environment and may be exposed to fumes, dust, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in this environment can be loud.
