Position Duties

- Ensure compliance with all NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts regulations and program requirements.
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction tailored to diverse learning styles.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, syllabi, and competency-based course outlines.
- Assess student performance through timely evaluations, interim assessments, and final exams.
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and progress reports.
- Submit required reports and documentation to the Lead Instructor promptly.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students, referring them to college resources as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and instructional methodologies through professional development.
- Maintain classroom and lab equipment in accordance with safety and instructional standards.
- Promote a positive learning environment that fosters student success and engagement.
- Participate in curriculum updates to align with industry and regulatory changes.
- Assist in aligning program competencies with institutional learning outcomes.
- Maintain test files and assessment tools linked to student learning objectives.
- Support college-wide initiatives and contribute to planning processes.
- Adhere to institutional policies regarding instructional delivery and student support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education and experience demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skill, and abilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Skills
Required: Must possess a valid NC State Board Esthetician or Cosmetology License. Must possess a valid NC State Board Esthetician or Cosmetologist Instructor License.
Preferred: Associate’s degree in a related field.
Experience
Preferred: Two years of experience in a salon, specializing in Esthetic services.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus. May require travel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in indoor conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
