Early Ed Speech/Language Pathologists


Extended School Year Summer

Burlington School District is seeking Speech/Language Pathologists tto provide supports in an inclusive summer pre-school environment for young children ages 3-6.  Speech Pathologists will provide services in the classroom, in small groups, and individually as assigned.


 


Job Requirements:



  • Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License.

  • Licensed in Speech/Language Pathology

  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.


Required Qualifications:



  • Experience in closely working with, providing direct instruction to, and case-managing special education students.

  • Experience in supporting children with cognitive, language, ASD, adaptive, behavior and social emotional needs.

  • Ability to commit to work all 3 program weeks

  • Experience working in a pre-school classroom.

  • Ability to train and supervise para-educators

  • Experience in working with ELL students who have language development needs desirable

  • Knowledge of best practices in engaging and motivating students and managing student behaviors.

  • Previous experience in Extended School Year programming is preferred
